In Habakkuk 3, after bringing God his anger and frustrations at not understanding His plan, Habakkuk says, “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vine, though the fruit of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off and the herd is not in the stalls, YET I will rejoice. I will joy in the God of my salvation. He will make my feet like the feet of a deer and he will make me to walk in my high places.” My high places are safe. They are protected from harm and fear and my enemies. And they are in the presence of Him who created them. I don’t know where MY high places are, but I’m on a journey to find them.
